Portablist Lounge was founded in 2017.

Even though Portablist Lounge is not the first ‘Portablist’ battle/event - it is the longest standing regular annual event supporting the art-form & culture of Portablism.

It is the only ‘live’ turntablist event in the world, that continued to operate during the covid pandemic.

The annual event is focused around the Portablist community, networking, showcasing and battles.

Competitors and attendees from all over the world gather together each year at Portablist Lounge. There are opportunities for free travel and accommodation to the event each year with The Battle For Free Passage.

Typically, the event is run over 2 days with various activities. The actual battle element involves ‘Qualification Rounds’ on the Saturday followed by the ‘Finals’ on Sunday.

Previously, the 2023 event was hosted by Bass6 (Beatbox Collective) on Saturday, Beatfox on Sunday, and judged by D-Styles, Ritchie Ruftone & DJ Vazee.

Portablist Lounge
welcomes everyone. Any skill level can enter the battle. Any person can participate.
